Slow Going
This week, heartbeat is delivered with
an invitation to go slow.
Hong Kong summers provide the perfect
excuse to take it easy and this is the perfect summer to experience
a clarity rarely seen in our perfect blue sky. We have seen islands
we didn't know existed. From the peak, we can see across the
mountains into the new territories and remember how much green there
is in our neighbourhood. The eastern new territories provide an area
of woodland that feels less like Asia than the usual urban
landscape.
If you decide to escape the city,
remember to take care of your body in the extreme heat. We found
aluminum spray bottles at SaSa that we fill with distilled water
(mineral water clogs the pump over time) and add
aromatherapy oils. We
have a selection to choose from, depending on where we're headed.
Add a few drops of citronella oil and you get a simple insect
repellent. Lavender drops provide a wonderful cooling spritz for
your face and body and soothes exposed skin. Rosemary or bergamot or
peppermint oil can be added to an office potion as a morning wake-up
or afternoon refresher.
How will you use your little bit of slow
time ?
Listen to your own heartbeat. |

our essential character. Do you feel your talents are fully expressed as
a woman? Are you the woman you always wanted to be? Experience
increased awareness of your inner strengths and qualities; an amazing
sense of self worth and power; celebration, play and surprise; an
opportunity to meet with other women in a supportive atmosphere. 9am-6m
both days in Central. HK$2,500 / less 30% for groups of 3.

August Personal Astrology & Feng Shui for Home & Office
The month of the Monkey
The Monkey is a popular figure in Chinese
legend, the mischievous hero of a classic tale who accompanied the monk
Xuan Zang on his perilous journey to the West. In the epic, the monkey
embodies the essence of human nature and its frailties, which can be
redeemed through good works.
Despite the intense heat we have in Hong
Kong and due to the Chinese Farmers Solar Calendar on the 8th August we
welcome Autumn (Li Ch’iu) with the height of the summer peaking on the
23rd of the month (Ch’u Shu) after which temperatures should begin to
fall. The elements of the year have been so accurate with extremes of
intense Fire and Water. Special Days during August taken from the
Chinese calendar : 19 August – Seven Sisters Festival; 27 August –
Hungry Ghosts Festival.

Crop Circles and Moon
Connections
Does a 7/7/07 crop circle point to a
new astronomical cycle?
An Australian scientist suggests that a 7
July 2007 crop circle indicates "a series of four lunar phase cycles,
spanning the summer of 2007. Three of those four cycles begin and end
normally, whereas the fourth lunar cycle will end six days after a new
moon. An 18-20 August 2007 planetary alignment involving Earth, Venus,
Sun and Saturn may be a turning point in astronomical cycles governing
the evolutionary cycle of growth in consciousness on Earth.
