Take a break
This week, heartbeat is delivered over a
coffee break.
After last week's rains, Hong Kong is
greener than ever. New green groups keep popping up all over the
place. We had a few groups send us their details after last week's
newsletter. We are pleased to see more people waking up to the
possibility of a fresh, clean, healthy and natural future for our
children. We will be updating their details on the website
directory in the weeks to come.

As we prepare to flip over another
calendar page, thoughts turn to summer fun. Does anyone actually
flip over pages any more? Or do we rely on our computers to do that
for us. Whatever you you do, check out what's
June has in store for us.
If you decide you'll do that over a coffee, we suggest you make
yours a Fair Trade organic java. While there are lots of new organic
food shops around, we discovered a new favourite in an old reliable.
We've been buying
Cafédirect
from ParknShop in the basement of Manning House on Queen's Road
Central for over a year. In the past few months, they've introduced
an organic blend along with delicious new gourmet grounds from Machu
Piccu, Kilimanjaro and the mountains of Mexico. So, sit back, relax
and send happy thoughts to the farmers you're supporting while you
enjoy your well-deserved break.
If you're looking for some light reading
while you're on your break, take a peek at the
CSR Asia Weekly newsletter. It's a great place to uncover good
business deeds a little closer to home.
How are your plans shaping up for an
all-natural summer ?

Climate Petition
More than a thousand new
signatures every hour
In three days, Avaaz's global climate change
petition has exploded -- flying past our 200,000-signer goal, with more
than a thousand new people signing every hour.
At the end of this week, Avaaz campaigners
will meet with German Chancellor Merkel's top negotiator for the G8+5
summit - for our first delivery of the petition. Germany is chairing the
summit, and is leading the many countries who support strong action on
climate change. They tell Avaaz that an unprecedented global outcry from
citizens will strengthen their ability to stand strong against the few
countries -- like the US -- that are trying to block an agreement. We
plan to deliver the largest global climate petition in history to the G8
summit on 7 June 2007.
