Health is your most valuable asset.
Would you normally let someone else take charge of something that
is priceless to you? Why then do we allow our health to
deteriorate and expect someone else to cure us with medication? At
AyurYoga, we want to empower you to take charge of your own
health and stop depending on others for your own well being.
Let food be your medicine
Ayurveda firmly states
that everyone has a unique constitution, no two individuals are
alike. Eating right for your body type, following the right
lifestyle and exercise program according to your own individual
constitution, will give you the balance, clarity and energy you
seek for optimum well being.
For relief from muscular pain

Drink a glass of room temperature water
with a tablespoon of honey 2-3 times a day.
For urinary tract infection (UTI)
Take ½ glass of

day depending on the severity of the problem.
For cough & cold
Take 2 pinches of cinnamon
powder, 2 pinches of turmeric powder, ¼ teaspoon of black pepper
powder and mix all together with a tablespoon of honey. Take this
remedy 3 - 4 times a day, followed by a cup of hot fennel tea.
For dandruff and itchy scalp
Take 2 tablespoons of
fenugreek seeds, soak them in about 200 ml of warn water at night.
Next morning make a paste from this mixture and apply on the
scalp. Leave it for 15-20 minutes and then rinse the hair with
lukewarm water. After washing, you can use some pure coconut

Rebirth of an Ancient Science
 Pulse
diagnosis is a window into the inner functioning of the psychology
and physiology of an individual. Similar to the modern CAT scan or
MRI scan, an Ayurvedic expert is able to detect any imbalances.
A healing session
- dispel blockages in the chakras
- restore balance and optimum functioning of the chakras
- regulate the flow of vital energy
Ayurveda means knowledge or science of life. Ayurveda is a
complete science of healthy, balanced living - a genuinely
holistic outlook encompassing the whole range of inner and outer
life.
Ayurveda is considered by most medical historians to be the world’s
oldest system of Natural medicine, originating many thousands of
years ago in ancient India. Many systems of natural medicine such
as Egyptian, Chinese, Persian and Greek are believed to have their
roots in Ayurveda.
Principles of Health Assessment
In Ayurveda, an individual’s health problems are treated by
considering the individual as a whole.
For example, when an individual experiences indigestion, an astute
Ayurvedic practitioner will not only consider his physical
abdominal ailment, but will also examine his emotional,
psychological, mental and spiritual attitudes and behaviour.
Further, the diagnosis will include how the weather, environment,
seasons etc. are affecting that individual. ^top
3 steps to total wellbeing
1. Have your pulse diagnosed by a qualified and experienced
Ayurvedic practitioner
2. Identify your bodily constitution i.e. whether it is
predominantly Vata, Pitta or Kapha.
3. Pacify the aggravated elements and boost the weak elements in
your body by following the right diet, exercise programme and
lifestyle.
Pulse Diagnosis
According to Ayurveda, the ancient and timeless Science of Life,
there are three main pillars which sustain our health – namely
Vata, Pitta and Kapha. These three pillars are in turn made up of
five elements – Ether, Air, Fire, Water and Earth. Any disturbance
to the delicate harmony of these five elements is the primary
cause of ill-health and disease. So to enjoy good health, it is
imperative to maintain a balance amongst these five elements.
Navel Centre Examination
According to the philosophy of Yoga and Ayurveda, the navel centre
or solar plexus (shaped like a bird’s egg and situated in the
Manipur Chakra), is the epicenter of 72,000 nadis (energy
channels) within each person. Dislodgement of this navel centre
causes numerous ailments which cannot be cured by medication. The
best long term solution is to bring the navel centre back to its
original position through Ayurvedic massage and energy healing.
Balancing the Chakras
Chakras are energy centres in the subtle (astral) body where the
energy channels intersect. There are 7 main chakras in the body
which govern the immune system, emotions, intelligence, sex and
reproductive organs, physical, mental and spiritual well being.
Due to improper diet, wrong exercises and decadent lifestyle, the
chakras become blocked, resulting in an imbalance of energy flow
within our being. Through energy healing, the subtle blockages and
imbalances can be corrected. This results in complete and overall
well being - not only physical but also mental, emotional, and
spiritual.

 3 principles of
Naturopathy
1. Toxins – cause of disease
2. Disease – a vital process
3. Healing – from within In a healthy
individual, waste matter is expelled from the body in the form
of faeces, urine, sweat, etc. The unnatural lifestyle of
modern man, combined with the consumption of over-refined
foods, lack of exercise and a polluted environment, affects
the efficiency of the body's excretory system. Waste matter &
toxins accumulate in the body and the result is disease.
Disease is nature’s way of correcting what is wrong within the
body. For example, when we catch a cold or cough, the body is
trying to cleanse the respiratory system. Similarly, when
excessive wastes have accumulated, the body uses extra energy
to throw them out. This often causes the body heat to increase
resulting in a fever. We are blessed with
tremendous self healing and self constructing powers. If
maintained well, the body is powerful enough to cure and
preserve itself. If disease does occur, naturopathy simply
assists the body in dispelling the toxins and healing itself.
Naturopathy aids the body to cure itself by nature cure
treatments like fasting, water therapies, diet, exercise, yoga
and other alternative methods. ^top

Harmony of body, mind & spirit
Yoga is an ancient scientific technique which has become very popular now.
The word yoga comes from the Sanskrit word yuj
which means to link or to unite It is to unite
with one’s own self and then with the universal energy. Yoga signifies the
union of the human spirit with the Universal Spirit to obtain relief from
pain and suffering.
Yoga is a philosophy of life aimed at developing a perfect balance between
the body and the mind which, in turn, creates a perfect harmony between the
individual and the universe.
Yoga as a system of physical exercise has been in existence in India since
ancient times.
According to the ancient sages, there are 8 stages of yoga to secure purity
of body, mind and soul :
-
Yama - Social Discipline
-
Niyama - Individual Discipline
-
Asana - Postures
-
Pranayama - Breath Control
-
Pratyahar - Mental Discipline
-
Dharana - Concentration
-
Dhyana - Meditation
-
Samadhi - Self Realization

Yoga asanas (postures) and Pranayama (breath control) bring improvement to
the human body from a physical point of view and are beneficial for
developing a positive, optimistic outlook on life, bringing a state of
serenity. The practice of yoga helps acquire perfect health, stay young and
live longer and enables us to overcome our failings and withstand stressful
situations with calm.
Yoga also helps us to create a link between the digestive, nervous and
respiratory systems so that the body works in harmony and good health can be
maintained.
Yogic exercises are essential for keeping the internal and external organs
of the body healthy and vigorous. No activity can be well performed unless
one is healthy. The body and mind are closely related with each other, and
one cannot function properly without the other being properly cared for.
Hence, the practice of Yoga keeps both the body and mind in excellent
health.
Good health is a gift of nature, and it is up to man to make a wholehearted
effort to preserve it. In spite of all the comforts and conveniences of
modern science, man’s physical and mental condition is deteriorating every
day. Illness is nature’s way of letting us know that we need to devote some
attention to the repair of our bodies. Yoga is undoubtedly one of the surest
means of preventing illness or helping to cure it.
Who can practice Yoga?
Men and women, young and old. well and sick or infirm can benefit from the
regular practice of yoga. When Yoga is practiced correctly and
conscientiously, it becomes a sure way of restoring balance, helping us
develop determination and resistance, and above all, to find serenity and
inner peace.
Benefits of Yoga
1. In contrast to most forms of physical exercise, yoga asanas (postures)
give sufficient exercise to the all of our body's internal organs, improving
the functioning of the heart, lungs, kidneys etc.
2. Skin becomes bright and glowing and toxins are expelled from the body,
removing blockages in energy channels due to increased oxygen intake
resulting in purification of the blood, higher red blood cell count and
enhanced blood circulation to all parts of the body.
3. Improved digestive system and body is able to absorb nutrients well from
the food we eat resulting in increased energy levels.
4. Improved immune system and body becomes more resistant to common
illnesses. Toxins and other waste matter is eliminated in a proper manner
from the body, hence the body has more resistance power to prevent diseases.
5. Yoga asanas naturally stimulate important glands in the body such as
pituitary, pineal, thyroid, parathyroid etc. These stimulated glands
function at optimum level, helping the body to acquire a well-balanced
growth.
6. Prevention and cure of several ailments such as asthma, diabetes,
constipation, blood pressure, hernia, migraine, insomnia, stress, obesity,
PMS, impotency, sterility etc.
7. The body becomes flexible by doing yoga asanas. It becomes active with an
increased ability to perform activities. One who performs yoga asanas also
looks younger and lives longer.
8. Life span, youth and health depend upon the flexibility of the spine.
Yoga helps to keep the spinal cord strong and flexible.
9. Yoga has a greater impact on the mind and the senses compared to most
physical exercises, resulting in the development of physical and mental
powers to calm the mind and control the senses.
10. Helps in developing stronger powers of concentration and better memory.
11. Yoga helps the mind to experience tranquility. There is progressive intellectual development because of the calm mind, improving ability to manage stress, hypertension, problems in day to day living, etc.
12. Self confidence becomes stronger due to improved physical and mental well being, allowing the individual to realize their full potential.

I came to know about Mr. Sharma through the internet. Consulting Mr. Sharma for a pulse and aura reading was indeed a unique experience for me. I found his readings to be on the ball and quite specific. He not only diagnosed my personal health problems but also my emotional & psychological profile and how I relate to others at home and at work. I have since been following his dietary recommendations & other guidelines, and I feel great. Since I have a very responsible and stressful career, his advice has greatly helped me to handle stress effectively and enjoy good health without the use of medicines. - Mr. Ziad Rahman, Corporate Accounts Director
I approached Mr. Sharma for help since I was constantly afflicted by tiredness, lack of con- centration and a poor quality of sleep. After checking my pulse and aura, he drew up a dietary plan for me, combined with specific yoga exercises. Within a few days, there was a definite improvement in my energy level. My appetite and the quality of my sleep was also noticeably better. I feel more alert, focused and energetic throughout the day. I have been recommending Mr. Sharma to my friends ever since. - Ms. Tang Oi Yee, Public Relations Officer
I used to have constant back problems, especially on the
upper back and shoulder blades. Sometimes, the pain made it difficult for me to
sit for long or concentrate on my studies. For 5 years, I tried several different therapies, to no avail. After 3 sessions of Ayurvedic oil treatment and healing with Mr. Sharma, my back problem is almost completely cured, which is quite miraculous. Even my family and friends are pleasantly surprised to see the results of his treatment. Ms. Bhavini Jhaveri, University Student
