We're always facing failure.

If my relationship hadn't failed three months after arriving here in 1992, there would be no HK heartbeat.

Some of us have more experience with failure than others. Some of us continue repeating the same lesson until we learn something new. Some design for failure while others accept the risk of failure as the price of growth.

System failure is behind most homelessness and The Big Sleepout happens for the first time in Hong Kong this weekend. December looks bright, bringing the chance to wish upon a falling star as cool evenings invite us into the great outdoors.

Though Hongkongers live longer than anyone else on our planet, enjoying life at 99 means learning to navigate a few bumps along the road.

Lance Lau has started young with his risk-taking and our future looks bright when we see him leading the way for a clean place to grow up in.

Our success may will come from eating our bowl, a solution that could reduce plastic waste and air pollution.

Whatever it looks like, each failure is worth examining for improvements in the next attempt.

Win or lose, succeed or fail, every outcome includes a reality check at no extra cost.

Success is finding the gain when we fail even when we don't plan to fail.
